The Yelp pages for hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare clinics will soon get new feature giving patients a better idea of what to expect at a certain facility.
Yelp announced a partnership with ProPublica, a non-profit investigative journalism group, to add objective data to healthcare review pages.
Users will be able to see information such as average emergency room wait times and fines a facility incurred, allowing for comparisons between providers’ practice patterns.
Yelp’s vice president of public policy Luther Lowe says new data will help users make better informed decisions about the facilities they choose.
